Old Bench Made New Again

This bench was painted green, then royal blue, then it sat out in my daughter's yard for a year before I rescued it!  I wanted it black but I didn't have any interior/exterior paint, so I decided I would use gloss black, and I'm so pleased with the results!  Here it is in the entryway all decorated for Christmas.  I think it turned out really cute!  The Christmas trees I made in ceramics in 1986!!  The Santa is a vintage one.  I'm not sure what kind of base he used to sit on as there was a hole in the center, but I made a wooden block to stabilize him and just screwed it on.  I have several of these Santas and love each of them.

Are you getting ready for Christmas?  We are!

Thanks for the comment, Carol! I made those ceramic trees in 1986! And I still love them! For years I bought everyone I saw, and my SIL said he wanted one, so guess what he got for Christmas that year? They're fun to have around and these are quite think and narrow but with LOTS of "lights!" Enjoy your booth! I had an antiques business for about 15 years and loved it!
