I'm going to try something new! This time I am going to see if I can blog about the trip we're taking and maybe even include some pictures!! We left home this morning in the wee hours, 7:15, and it was raining. Savannah, our almost 13 year old Schnauzer wasn't very happy about being uprooted from her quiet little domain and thrown in the back of the truck for this trip. We stopped at the Alabama Welcome Station to let her out, and she puttered around for a while before she finally figured out what she was supposed to be doing! Once we were back in the truck. She fell fast asleep! While we were on our way to Alabama, we kicked up a piece of tire that ripped off a bit of the trim on the front of the trailer! Thank God for duct tape!!! So if you see an Airstream with duct tape on the trim, say hello 'cause that's us!! After numerous other stops we arrived safely at our first night's destination. We made it to Magnolia RV Park Resort in Vicksburg, Mississippi. It's hot here!!! 90+! We unhooked so we could run to the post office and drop off a package, and we fueled up and headed back to the campground. We met some really friendly people from Texas and talked with them for a couple hours. They are heading to Tennessee with their 17 year old grandson. We had a really nice visit with them! There is a dog park here, so I tok Casper over and let him run. He loves that freedom!! Settling in for the night. Heading northwest into Arkansas tomorrow!! Happy Trails!
