Warm Springs Ranch -The Budweiser Clydesdales

We are here with about 150 other Airstream trailers now and the list is adding more each day!!  We drove over to Warm Springs Ranch yesterday, the home of the Budweiser Clydesdales.  They give tours daily EXCEPT on Wednesday!  Wouldn't ya know it?  It was a fun ride anyway, so after the trip there, we stopped in at a museum and saw some amazing pieces of furniture, dishes, pottery, etc. that belonged to a local family back in the 1800s!!  The woman's black bonnet was just amazing!  I wish I had had my camera.  I would guess it was a morning bonnet as it was black and very long in the back, coming down probably to mid-shoulders!!  It had ruffles at the edge and lots of buttons.  So beautiful!!  The bed quilt was a log cabin quilt made from silks and velvets and many pieces were fraying, but the tiny strips for the log cabins were no more than 1/4 inch wide!!  A truly spectacular quilt despite the deterioration!!  The history we have in America to see is just wonderful.  Let's get out and see some more!!
After the Clydesdales farm, we drove to a little bistro on the river, Les Bourgeois.  They have their own vineyards and winery, so we had lunch overlooking the Missouri River.  I had a June Salad that was lots of greens, thinly sliced cucumbers, radishes and topped with a fabulous vinaigrette!!  I'd love to have that recipe!!
Then we went to the winery for a wine tasting.  We bought two bottles of their sweet wines.  And since some of our friends' last name is Bourgeois, we bought them a pair of wine glasses!!! Wouldn't I love to find a Ridenour winery?
More later...
